Fringe will wrap up its five year run this Friday on FOX. I’m sad to see the series go but it had a great five years and I’m glad the show lasted this long. You can watch a preview of the finale below as well as take a look at the poster for the final episode.

Peter, Olivia, Walter et all have some “skin in the game,” as the saying goes, when Fox’s Fringe wraps up its five-year run this Friday. And to look at this unsettling promotional poster for the two-hour finale event, they may even have skin to spare.

In the first hour titled “Liberty” and airing Friday at 8/7c, “the Fringe team engages a desperate plan as Olivia embarks on a dangerous and otherworldly journey into the unknown,” Fox’s official synopsis reads. Then, in the second and final hour, “An Enemy of Fate,” Peter, Olivia, Walter, Astrid and Broyles “face off against the Observers in one final and extraordinary battle for the fate of mankind.” Oh, so that’s all that’s at stake.

When TVLine spoke with executive producer J.J. Abrams at the sci-fi drama’s wrap party in Vancouver, he described the finale as “highly unexpected, incredibly emotional and a fitting conclusion to the series.” Noting that it’s “an incredibly exciting thing to get to end a show appropriately” and on a planned timetable (as Abrams’ Lost did), he further hailed Fringe‘s series-ender as “beautifully done by [showrunner] Joel [Wyman] and the writers.”

Hello all! My name is Ann and I am, once again, the owner of Anna Torv Web. I have been webmaster of the site for two months last year and I am glad to have it back now.

Unfortunately the last owner has removed credit of all previous owners which I am now in the process of restoring. This will take a little while longer but once that is done I’ll catch up with everything that the site hasn’t been updated with over the last few months.

Please note that I am a bit behind on Fringe myself and therefore I’ll start adding captures from season four and five in February at the earliest. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.

NATALIE: Peter and his daughter Henrietta reunited last season, but her run-in with her mom Olivia will surprise you. “It takes on a slightly different flavor than I think you would anticipate,”Joshua Jackson tells us, noting that it will happen very quickly in the season premiere. The real question executive producer J.H. Wyman wants fans to ponder is: What happened to the Fringe team the day the Observers arrived? “How did they get in amber? How did Olivia and Peter and everyone get separated? Why were they all together? Why was Bell there? The history will surprise you when you realize there’s a lot of emotions going on for reasons that you don’t know yet, but you will.”
